Prato is served by two railway lines, Bologna-Firenze and Firenze-Lucca. There are many connecting trains to Prato, thus the city is easily reachable from major Italian cities such as Rome, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Venice and Naples. The Bologna-Firenze line, in particular, offers easy connections to three stations within the province: Prato Centrale, Vaiano and Vernio; the Firenze-Lucca line (which goes to both Viareggio and Pisa) serves the two stations of Prato Centrale and Prato Porta al Serraglio. The latter serves Prato’s historical center, and thus, is the right stop for reaching Accademia Residence.
